In a sharp rebuke, BJP leader and MLC CT Ravi has criticized the Congress-led government in Karnataka. The criticism follows a meeting in Delhi attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar along with the Congress central leadership, sparking speculation of a leadership shake-up within the state.
Ravi accused the Congress leaders of neglecting their duties in Karnataka by focusing on internal party conflicts in Delhi, arguing that they were elected to address public issues, not engage in infighting. He lamented the absence of ministers in the state to hear public grievances, warning that the electorate would soon react to their perceived inaction.
Moreover, Ravi alleged a significant rise in corruption under the current Congress administration, questioning their commitment to reducing graft. Meanwhile, the Congress leadership, including President Mallikarjun Kharge and other senior figures like Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal, convened to discuss matters amid ongoing rumors of a potential leadership change in Karnataka, particularly with Shivakumar's reported ambitions to ascend to the chief ministerial position.
