Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Lahar Singh Siroya voiced strong criticism of Karnataka's current political landscape on Friday. This follows the recent resignation of Siddaramaiah from the position of Chief Minister. Siroya expressed skepticism about any positive change under the expected new leadership of D.K. Shivakumar.

Siroya accused the Congress party of reducing Karnataka to a mere resource ATM. He emphasized that the people stand to gain nothing from ongoing leadership changes, as both corruption and dynastic politics remain pervasive. He called on voters to support the BJP in the next elections for systemic reform.

Despite the resignation, Siroya remains confident in BJP's potential to secure victory in the 2027 Karnataka Assembly elections. He extended a tentative note of hope that Shivakumar, if appointed Chief Minister, might prioritize the public good over familial political pressures.
