In a sharp political maneuver, BJP leader Vinoj P Selvam has accused the Congress and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of betraying their allies, following DMK's boycott decision of the upcoming INDIA bloc meeting. Selvam's criticism came as the opposition alliance faces increasing internal strife.

Selvam lambasted Congress for its alleged lack of ideological commitment and opportunistic behavior in Indian politics. He declared that Congress prioritizes power over the nation’s welfare, reflective of the tensions escalating within the alliance.

Amid rising tensions, DMK leader TKS Elangovan confirmed the party's exit from the INDIA bloc, citing disillusionment with Congress' conduct after recent elections in Tamil Nadu. He noted Congress’ shift towards new alliances, straining its ties with DMK.
