Fuel stations on the Russian-held Crimean peninsula ran dry on Thursday as Ukraine intensified its campaign targeting supply lines, Reuters witnesses reported.

A Reuters correspondent in Sevastopol noted a severe shortage in local petrol stations, with supplies unable to meet the rationing demands implemented recently. Yevpatoriya faced similar dilemmas with long queues at the solitary functioning station.

Ukraine's increased drone attacks have hampered fuel delivery routes, prompting the local government to impose rationing. Although 13 regions reported shortages, only Crimea and two Siberian regions confirmed them officially. Moscow has denied any supply problems, yet economic concerns over rising fuel prices loom.
