Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not addressing the deadly US attack on a Gulf commercial vessel, which resulted in the deaths of three Indians. Kejriwal held President Donald Trump accountable, condemning what he perceived as a lack of response from Modi.
Kejriwal, in a video shared on social media platform X, claimed that the Americans attacked Indian-inhabited commercial ships for three consecutive days, while Modi seemed complacent. Criticism was also directed at US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whose alleged threatening tone towards India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stirred further tension.
Additional criticism came from Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, who voiced the nation's anger over Modi's silence. Kharge argued that the incident underscored India's diminished global stature and sovereignty. Meanwhile, Congress leader Manish Tewari critiqued Rubio's approach during discussions with India, labeling it confrontational and disrespectful.
