The Central Water Commission has significantly upgraded its FloodWatch India app to offer real-time information on the nation's flood conditions.
Unveiled by Jal Shakti Minister C R Paatil, the app's coverage has expanded from 392 to 592 forecast stations, allowing for broader and more localized flood forecasting.
The updated app now provides flood forecasts for 200 additional stations, with updates available up to seven days in advance. Users can access real-time data from 392 monitoring stations, complete with storage information for 150 major reservoirs and interactive maps for detailed, accurate flood monitoring.
