A tragic fire broke out at a dye manufacturing factory in the Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi, on Thursday morning, leading to the death of a 35-year-old man named Abnesh, authorities confirmed.
Initial reports had mistaken the establishment for a courier company; however, investigations clarified its function as a hair dye production site. The fire began at 11.38 am, with tragic consequences for Abnesh, who suffered 90 percent burn injuries and succumbed to them, according to a police statement.
The incident, reportedly triggered by an electrical wire spark on the factory's second floor, has led to charges against the owner, Athar Aftab, and a manager under sections related to negligence in conduct, fire, and machinery. The Delhi Fire Services reported that ten fire tenders were deployed, managing to control the blaze by 1.50 pm.
