Tragedy cast a shadow over Kuno National Park when one of the two cheetah cubs released into the wild was found dead. A forest official reported the incident, marking an unfortunate incident on the occasion of International Cheetah Day.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had released female cheetah Veera and her two cubs into the free-ranging area of the park on Thursday. However, one cub was discovered separated from its mother and sibling during the night, leading to the grim discovery.

The investigation into the cub's cause of death is ongoing, with an autopsy report pending. Despite this setback, Veera and her surviving cub remain in good health, alongside the other 28 cheetahs at the park. Officials assure that all cheetahs, including 8 adults and 20 cubs, are well.
