Indore's Metro Vision: Underground Ambitions for Seamless Commute

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav announced the Indore Metro line will now be built underground to minimize disruptions in crowded areas. The project shift will increase costs by Rs 900 crore, which the state will cover. Indore Metropolitan Area expansion was also discussed, and a new hospital building was launched.

In a significant development, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled plans to construct a 3.3-kilometre stretch of the Indore Metro line underground, shifting away from the original elevated design.

This decision, made to mitigate disruptions in densely populated areas, will see the project's cost rise by approximately Rs 900 crore, funds that the state government will provide.

Additionally, the plan to expand the Indore Metropolitan Area was announced, while the foundation for a new hospital building was laid in the city.
