In a heart-wrenching incident, a teenage girl lost her life in a tragic accident while on her way to school. Identified as Sarita Devi, 15, she was struck by a speeding dumper truck amidst poor visibility caused by dense fog on Thursday morning.
The accident took place near the Bairagipur crossing, with law enforcement officials reporting that the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Sarita, a class 10 student and resident of Mahewa Uparhar village, was pronounced dead on the spot.
Mahewa Ghat SHO Dhirendra Singh confirmed the seizure of the dumper truck involved in the collision. Authorities have sent Sarita's body for a post-mortem examination, further investigating the tragic event that underlines the critical need for stringent speed regulations in foggy conditions.
