In a tragic incident in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni district, a woman was killed by a tiger while collecting forest produce with her husband. Officials reported that the tiger attacked Anita Chaudhary near Pandharwani village.
The attack occurred at around 11 am when the couple was gathering resources. By the time forest officials arrived, the tiger had partially consumed her. The incident attracted a large crowd, and the presence of villagers forced the tiger to retreat.
Local authorities, including Forest Range Officer Ravi Gedam, responded promptly, providing the victim's family with immediate financial assistance of Rs 20,000. Further compensation will follow after formalities are completed. To ensure safety, officials are urging locals to avoid venturing into the forest alone.
