Amy Wilson-Hardy, a British rugby sevens player under a racism investigation, will not participate in the final day of the Olympic tournament in Paris.
Despite not being suspended, Wilson-Hardy's place was taken by an injury replacement for Britain's classification game against China on Tuesday.
According to The Independent, a screengrab of a conversation involving Wilson-Hardy appeared on social media, prompting an investigation by the British Olympic Association (BOA) into the image's publication.
Monday night saw Britain eliminated from medal contention following a 17-7 quarterfinal defeat to the United States.
