India to Host Prestigious ISSF World Cup Final

India will host the prestigious ISSF World Cup Final at Karni Singh Ranges in October. The event will feature elite shooters in pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines. India is set to host the prestigious ISSF World Cup Final at the Karni Singh Ranges this October.

The event, the season's finale for elite shooters in pistol, rifle, and shotgun, will determine the year's top marksmen. Medal winners from the Paris Olympics and last year's Doha event have secured spots in the prestigious tournament.

Additional qualifiers include the top-six in the ISSF World Cup rankings, with a cap of two participants per country. As the host nation, India may also allow wild-card entries.

The ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) president Luciano Rossi announced the event during the Paris Olympics. Winners will receive prize money ranging from Euros 3,000 to 5,000, alongside medals and trophies.

This marks the 10th international shooting event hosted by India since the 2015 Asian Air Gun Championship, and the second World Cup Final since the 2017 edition. The event underscores India's commitment to promoting shooting sports on the global stage.

Kalikesh Singhdeo, NRAI's senior vice-president, attributes India's international success in shooting to regularly hosting such world-class competitions.

NRAI Secretary-General Sultan Singh expressed hope that Indian shooters will leverage the home advantage to win international accolades and thrill fans.

Esteemed Indian shooters like Ronjan Sodhi, Gagan Narang, and Rudrankksh Patil have previously won gold medals in the World Cup Final.
