Despite an early setback with a start-line penalty in the second race, Tom Slingsby's team recovered to secure a third-place finish and then proceeded to outpace Spain for a win in race three, placing second to New Zealand in the final race of the day.
The competition witnessed Denmark's Rockwool Racing smashing the F50 speed record with 103.93 km/h. Germany's Deutsche Bank claimed victory in the event opener while Britain's Emirates GBR suffered a setback from a collision with the United States in the fourth race.
