Glover played 121 first-grade games, scoring a remarkable 55 tries over his seven seasons with the Parramatta team. He also played internationally, appearing twice for Australia in 1978 and once for New South Wales in 1979.
Following his retirement from playing, Glover transitioned to a coaching role, and his contributions to the sport earned him the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 and the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2018. The Parramatta Eels plan to honor him by wearing black armbands in an upcoming match against the Wests Tigers.
