In a mixed day for India at the Archery World Cup Stage 2, victorious highs and disappointing lows were experienced. The women's recurve archery team ensured a medal by defeating the formidable South Korean team in the semifinals, securing a gold medal clash against China on Sunday.
The seasoned team, featuring Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat, and newcomer Kumkum Mohod, maintained their composure, winning with a decisive straight-set victory. The men's team, contrastingly, faced a shocking defeat to Bangladesh, ending their campaign without a single set win.
Meanwhile, Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat's mixed team entry was halted by Brazil in the second round. As the Indian women's team gears up for the finals, anticipation builds for their showdown against China.
