Cesar Peixoto: Reviving Wolves with a Premier League Dream
Wolverhampton Wanderers have appointed Cesar Peixoto as their new head coach, following the sacking of Rob Edwards. Peixoto, tasked with reviving Wolves after their relegation from the Premier League, aims to rebuild the team in the Championship and restore them to top-flight football.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced Cesar Peixoto as their new head coach on a two-year contract. The announcement came shortly after the sacking of Rob Edwards. The 46-year-old Portuguese manager is tasked with rejuvenating the club following their recent relegation from the Premier League.
Wolves finished last in the league, securing only 20 points, winning three out of 38 matches and managing just 27 goals. Peixoto now has the responsibility of revamping the squad in the Championship, with hopes of a swift return to the Premier League.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Peixoto said, 'I’m proud to be at this historic club. It's a big opportunity, and I am prepared to do everything to elevate Wolves back where they belong'. A former Portugal international, he has a notable background, having played under Jose Mourinho at Porto and recently coaching Gil Vicente to sixth place in Portugal’s Primeira Liga.
