HCLTech Partners with Samsung to Drive Semiconductor Innovation

HCL Technologies (HCLTech) has secured a pivotal role as a Design Solution Partner within the Samsung Advanced Foundry Ecosystem program, the company announced on Thursday. This strategic alliance is set to drive semiconductor innovation forward by harnessing HCLTech's extensive experience in engineering and research and development services.
The collaboration will see HCLTech providing advanced application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design services to clients seeking to utilize Samsung's cutting-edge process technologies. As part of the arrangement, Samsung has committed to imparting specialized training to HCLTech employees while offering comprehensive technical support for turnkey projects. Additionally, Samsung will augment access to production resources through its Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) programs, enhancing prototyping and production efficiency.
As industry leaders, Taejoong Song, Vice President and head of the Technology Planning 2 Team at Samsung Electronics, and Sanjay Gupta, Corporate Vice President of North Asia at HCLTech, emphasized the partnership's role in reinforcing a mutual dedication to innovation and excellence. This collaboration aims to accelerate the introduction of new silicon technologies to a rapidly evolving semiconductor market.
