Kreo, a forward-thinking Indian electronics brand, has unveiled a groundbreaking study called 'How India Games' exploring the gaming landscape across the nation. This study finds that more than 35% of players are professionals like engineers, marketers, and entrepreneurs, revealing a broadening of the gaming demographic beyond traditional perceptions.

The report, based on nearly 6,000 gamers, highlights a surge in female participation, with women over the age of 35 emerging as a significant gaming segment. Despite historical dominance by male gamers, women are quickly catching up, with many opting to conceal their gender online due to harassment concerns.

Additionally, the survey points to an immense interest in content creation among gamers, indicating the gaming industry's evolving nature. While mobile gaming remains a popular gateway, there is a noted interest in console and PC gaming. Changing cultural attitudes, including parental engagement in gaming, suggest a gradual generational shift in acceptance.
