TRAI Clarifies Stance on Satellite Spectrum Recommendations

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has stated there are no outstanding recommendations concerning satellite communication spectrum, according to a source on Friday.

This clarification follows Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia's announcement that the regulator needs to finalize its spectrum price recommendations for satellite services.

TRAI had previously suggested a 4% yearly fee based on operator revenues, impacting providers like Starlink, with different rules for urban and rural services.
