At the AI and Health Innovation Conference in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence in governance. He outlined AI's potential to revolutionize healthcare services, improve transparency, and enhance public trust, while cautioning that humans must control technology, not vice versa.
Adityanath announced the Rs 2,000 crore Uttar Pradesh AI Mission aimed at establishing the state as a national leader in AI-integrated healthcare. Under this initiative, UP plans to develop an AI City in Lucknow and expand various healthcare facilities, emphasizing the importance of innovation and compassion.
Highlighting technology's impact, he cited the overhaul of the Public Distribution System and improvements in medical infrastructure. Adityanath noted the progress in reducing mortality rates and eradicating diseases like encephalitis. He stressed AI's role beyond healthcare, in sectors such as education, agriculture, and policing, enhancing efficiency and policy formulation.
