Chandigarh University has unveiled India's first 'AI Fest -2026', an ambitious three-day event designed to empower young innovators and bridge the gap between ideas and technology-driven solutions. This initiative, aligned with the 'India AI Impact Summit 2026', promises to foster AI-led startups with competitions, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
Present at the launch were notable figures including Umar Ali Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer of Atos Solutions & Systems Pvt Ltd, and Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor of Chandigarh University. They emphasized the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in realizing the national vision of a technologically advanced India, as symbolized by the unveiling of the InnovBot mascot.
The fest aims to bring together over 1,000 national and international teams for various contests and workshops, offering a prize pool exceeding Rs 1 crore. With industry collaboration, the fest provides a robust platform for young minds to translate their innovative ideas into viable products, driving India's digital and economic growth.
