Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared India's fiscal prudence a global role model during his keynote at the 'Journey Towards Viksit Bharat: A Post Union Budget 2024-25 Conference' held by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi.
Addressing over 1,000 participants from industry, government, and international circles, Modi highlighted India's remarkable growth and stability in a world grappling with low growth and high inflation. He noted India's consistent rise in global goods and services export, contributing 16% to global growth despite pandemic and geopolitical challenges.
Modi underlined key Budget announcements aimed at driving India's future progress, including investments in nuclear power generation, Digital Public Infrastructure for agriculture, a Bhu-Aadhar card for farmers' land parcels, a Rs 1,000 crore venture capital fund for the space economy, and upcoming offshore mining auctions. He urged the industry to match government efforts in job creation and investment, envisioning 100 districts as new hubs of 'Viksit Bharat'.
