Delhi-NCR is establishing itself as a prime location for Global Capabilities Centres (GCCs) as it has leased 50.9 lakh square feet of office space over the past two years, according to Anarock. In 2023 alone, 2.5 million square feet were leased, with projections of continued growth.
Across India's seven major cities, GCCs account for over 37 percent of office space leasing, totaling 52.88 million square feet. Major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai also remain focal points for these corporations.
Pushing factors include the 'Make in India' initiative, improved infrastructure, and airport connectivity, complemented by competitive rentals and high-quality office spaces, particularly in regions like Noida. Anarock's strategic entry into office leasing in 2024 further indicates a robust real estate sector.
