One anonymous U.S. official revealed high confidence in Pakistan's use of the Chinese J-10 to launch missiles against Indian jets, downing at least two. India, however, has not recognized the loss, claiming successful airstrikes on alleged terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan instead.
In France, the manufacturer of Rafale, Dassault Aviation, and the MBDA consortium responsible for the Meteor missile, were unavailable for comment due to a public holiday atmosphere.
