Amazon is set to aggressively expand its quick-commerce venture, Amazon Now, with plans to launch two new dark stores every day. This move will bring the total number of Amazon's micro-fulfillment centers to over 300 by the end of the year, as the company announced on Monday.
The expansion aims to deepen Amazon's penetration in major cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. This strategic step will position Amazon Now more competitively against rivals, including Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart.
Amazon India's Country Manager, Samir Kumar, expressed enthusiasm about customer reception to Amazon Now, indicating the company's unwavering commitment to rapid scaling. Currently, Amazon Now promises swift delivery of essentials and a wide range of products within minutes to hours, meeting customer demands with high efficiency.
