The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway resumed partial operations on Wednesday, following a suspension due to heavy snowfall, according to official reports.
While light motor vehicles are now allowed to traverse the 270-km route, full restoration efforts are ongoing. Personnel have been working diligently to improve driving conditions by applying salt and urea to icy stretches.
With temperatures plunging across Kashmir during the final days of 'Chilla-i-Kalan', forecasts indicate another potential weather disruption on February 1, with a fresh western disturbance expected to bring rain and snow.
