Tata Group's Chairman, N Chandrasekaran, has announced that their operations in Uttar Pradesh will expand significantly in the upcoming years. The state is set to become a major manufacturing and export hub, supported by improved infrastructure and favorable policies.
Speaking at an event at the Tata Motors plant in Lucknow, Chandrasekaran praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership and noted the state's potential in contributing to India's industrial and social advancement. He highlighted the growth in rapid infrastructure, policy backing, and investment-friendly environment as key drivers.
The Group plans to increase vehicle production at the Lucknow plant and expand into new sectors like electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Additionally, Tata Consultancy Services plans to double its workforce in the region, while ongoing efforts also focus on social initiatives such as water conservation and AI technology development. The state government's support has been pivotal in these expansions.
