The European Union could disburse the first payment from its recently agreed 90 billion euros ($105.8 billion) loan package for Ukraine next week, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said on Monday. Last month, the EU had formally agreed the 90-billion-euro loan, which is set to cover two-thirds of Ukraine's needs for the next two years.
"I hope that in the next week, we will be able to disburse the first payments," Kos told reporters in Brussels. ($1 = 0.8506 euros)
