​The ​European Union ‌could disburse the ​first payment from its ‌recently agreed 90 billion euros ($105.8 billion) loan package for Ukraine ‌next week, European Commissioner for ‌Enlargement Marta Kos said on Monday.

​The ​European Union ‌could disburse the ​first payment from its ‌recently agreed 90 billion euros ($105.8 billion) loan package for Ukraine ‌next week, European Commissioner for ‌Enlargement Marta Kos said on Monday. Last month, the EU ⁠had ​formally ⁠agreed the 90-billion-euro loan, which is ⁠set to cover two-thirds ​of Ukraine's needs for the next ⁠two years.

"I hope that ⁠in ​the next week, we will be able ⁠to disburse the first payments," Kos ⁠told ⁠reporters in Brussels. ($1 = 0.8506 euros)
