Maharashtra Congress Accuses Modi Government of Fueling Inflation amidst Election Focus

The Maharashtra Congress has criticized the BJP-led Central government, alleging that its focus on electoral victories has plunged the nation into an inflation crisis. Despite early warnings from political leaders, the government delayed addressing rising prices, leading to significant hikes in costs of essential commodities post-elections.

The Maharashtra Congress has levelled serious allegations against the BJP-led central government, accusing it of neglecting rising inflation to concentrate on election victories. Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar stated that the government prioritized state polls over tackling economic challenges, leading to sharp price raises in essential goods.

In a pointed accusation, Wadettiwar claimed that despite early warnings from opposition leaders about the risk of surging costs due to geopolitical tensions, the government delayed corrective actions, further aggravating the inflation crisis once electoral campaigns concluded.

Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal also accused the government of postponing fuel price hikes to avoid backlash during state elections, alleging foreign influences on India's energy policies. Concerns over alleged NEET examination irregularities were also raised, emphasizing systemic corruption issues.
