India's shipping ministry reported a fire incident on the Marivex oil tanker off Oman's coast, with 24 Indian sailors on board. Fortunately, all sailors are safe, and the vessel carried no cargo, according to federal port and shipping ministry director Opesh Kumar Sharma.

Sharma assured the public that coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian missions overseas, the Indian Navy, and the Ministry of Defence is underway to maintain the sailors' safety. The fire struck the vessel at 1:30 p.m. local time, but no injuries have been reported.

The specific cause of the fire is still unidentified as authorities continue their investigation. The priority remains on securing the well-being of the sailors.
