Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called on three technical universities in the state to ramp up their support for innovation and startups. In a recent meeting on the UP Innovation Fund, he stressed the need for these institutions to set up innovation centers equipped with comprehensive facilities to assist student entrepreneurs.
Observing the swift technological advancements, Adityanath highlighted the necessity for innovation to align with evolving global market trends. He proposed establishing Centres of Excellence to foster groundbreaking ideas and pledged government funding to support these initiatives. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of channeling funds through universities to empower the youth, aiming to elevate the state's status both nationally and internationally.
In addition, Adityanath advocated for integrating startups into the wider business ecosystem and promoting the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative within technical universities. He advocated for complete university autonomy to nurture innovation and encouraged collaboration with IITs to bolster capabilities further.
