Kriya Initiative Expands to Boost Science Learning in Karnataka Schools

On Friday, the Prayoga Institute of Education Research announced it has entered a partnership with Merck, a prominent science and technology company, to extend its groundbreaking initiative, Kriya. This program, which focuses on hands-on science learning, will now reach 45 government schools across 35 districts in Karnataka.
Targeting regions such as Chamarajanagar, Dharwad, Bidar, Gadag, and Mandya, Kriya currently impacts over 7,000 students across 66 schools. It aims to bring quality science education to students in grades 6 through 10 by offering experiential learning, especially in rural areas with limited educational resources.
The Prayoga Institute confirmed that these schools will gain access to comprehensive lab stations, complete with necessary materials for experiments, and safety manuals to guide usage. Vallish Herur, Managing Trustee at Prayoga, emphasized that the Kriya initiative represents a major shift in science education, aiming to democratize quality education with the help of Merck's support.
