Assam Schools Excel in Gunotsav 2025 with Record A+ Grades

The citizen-led initiative assesses learning levels, infrastructure gaps, and helped maintain robust education systems. Assam's educational excellence was showcased with the release of Gunotsav 2025 results, announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The sixth edition assessed 44,077 schools, with more than 83% securing A+ or A rankings, reflecting significant growth driven by enhanced teaching and infrastructural support.
The Gunotsav initiative, inspired by Prime Minister Modi's tenure in Gujarat, has been instrumental in identifying educational gaps and implementing corrective measures in Assam. This year, new evaluation parameters, including student uniform quality, highlighted district achievements, with Sivasagar maintaining its lead position.
In conjunction with Gunotsav, the Arohan Scheme awarded tablets and career guidance to over 17,000 students, enhancing digital literacy and academic progress. The Chief Minister also recognized Samagra Shiksha, Assam, with an ISO 9001:2015 certification for its governance and transparency standards.
