ABVP Protests Over Delayed WBJEE Results

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested outside Bikash Bhawan in Salt Lake against delays in the publication of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) results. The student organization accused the state Education department of corruption and demanded immediate results, blaming the delay for hindering college admissions.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), conducted a protest in front of Bikash Bhawan, the headquarters of West Bengal's Education department, in Salt Lake, voicing their dissatisfaction over the delay in announcing the results of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

Despite being conducted in April this year, the WBJEE results remain unpublished, causing frustration among students awaiting higher education admissions. The protesters criticized the state Education department for 'corruption' and called for immediate action.

Authorities halted the protest by detaining several members as they attempted to march towards Bikash Bhawan. Protestors expressed their desire to meet with Education Minister Bratya Basu, alleging obstruction by the police while demanding, "Where is our future today?"
