India Strengthens Educational Ties with Nepal Through Generous Bus Donation

India has donated 81 school buses to educational institutions across Nepal, including those in disaster-hit Koshi province. This gesture is part of the development partnership between India and Nepal, enhancing student access to transportation in remote and affected areas over the past 30 years.

In a significant boost to Nepal's educational infrastructure, India has donated 81 school buses to various institutions, including those in disaster-hit districts of Koshi province. This move underscores the enduring partnership between the two nations, according to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

The donated buses will serve educational institutions across 48 districts, encompassing remote and disaster-affected areas such as Ilam, Jhapa, and Udayapur. Earlier this month, these districts faced severe challenges due to landslides and floods caused by torrential rains.

Since the collaboration began three decades ago, India has provided Nepal with 381 school buses. These vehicles are crucial in offering students safe and affordable transportation to school, particularly in far-flung regions.
