Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar aggressively criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)], claiming corruption is ingrained in the opposition parties.
In his speech at the Janandolana event in Ramanagara, countering BJP’s Padayatra protest, Shivakumar disputed accusations against him and addressed the MUDA plot scam controversy. He emphasized the electorate’s strong support with 135 seats for his leadership versus 19 seats for Kumaraswamy’s.
Shivakumar also responded to allegations involving pen drive videos of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, questioning why BJP leaders have remained silent amidst these accusations, and queried the sincerity of Kumaraswamy's threats.
While denying destabilization efforts, Shivakumar reiterated the robustness of the Congress government under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and himself, dismissing the opposition’s alleged plans to disrupt the administration.
