Sharvari Eyes Comedy and Diverse Roles After Success of ‘Vedaa’

Actor Sharvari, most recently seen in the action thriller 'Vedaa,' has expressed her enthusiasm for starring in a full-fledged comedy film.
Sharvari made her debut in Kabir Khan's war drama series 'The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye' in 2020. Since then, she has participated in various genres, including crime comedy 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' and the horror comedy 'Munjya.'
In an interview with PTI, the 27-year-old actor shared, 'My favorite genre is comedy. I love comedy films like 'Andaz Apna Apna,' 'Hera Pheri,' and 'De Dana Dan.' I hope someday I can do some superb comedies as well.'
Sharvari, who viewed 'Vedaa' at Movietime Star City theatre, aims to challenge herself with diverse roles. 'I want to be part of films where audiences forget I'm Sharvari or say they didn't expect this from me. I'm greedy and hungry for different roles and dialects,' Sharvari remarked.
Recalling her college days, she mentioned skipping classes to watch films at the Matunga-based theatre, including Salman Khan's 'Wanted' and the 'Harry Potter' series. Now, she's thrilled to see her work screened there.
'Vedaa,' which released on August 15, explores caste discrimination and stars John Abraham alongside Sharvari. The film, inspired by real incidents, opened at Rs 6.75 crore in India. Sharvari feels proud to be part of a project that sparks social conversations.
Looking ahead, Sharvari will feature in Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe movie 'Alpha.'
