He spoke at the first Global Muthamizh Murugan Conference, emphasizing the government's focus on social development and equality at religious places of worship.
The two-day event, organized by the state Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, saw extensive participation. Stalin praised Minister P K Sekar Babu for his significant role in organizing the conference, which showcases the state's commitment to development.
Stalin outlined the extensive work underway at Lord Murugan's temples, costing over Rs 1,067 crore. The government is also providing free meals to nearly 4,000 students in temple-run educational institutions. The event featured research presentations by Tamil scholars from various countries and exhibitions on Murugan's religious significance.
