Indian Air Force Airlifts Mortal Remains of Pilgrims Killed in Nepal Bus Tragedy
A military transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force transported 25 mortal remains of Indian pilgrims from Nepal to Maharashtra. These pilgrims died in a bus accident in Tanahun district, Nepal. Additionally, 27 people were killed, with two bodies sent to Uttar Pradesh, and 16 injured in the incident.

A military transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force on Saturday brought 25 mortal remains of Indian pilgrims to Maharashtra's Jalgaon. These pilgrims had tragically lost their lives in a bus accident in Nepal's Tanahun district on Friday.
The accident occurred about 115 kilometres from Kathmandu, resulting in the deaths of 27 Indians. The bodies of two of the deceased were sent to Maharajgunj in Uttar Pradesh, officials confirmed.
In a swift humanitarian response, the Indian Air Force deployed a C-130J aircraft to airlift the mortal remains of the victims. The IAF expressed their condolences to the bereaved families and wished a quick recovery to those injured. The pilgrims were on a 10-day tour when their bus veered off a highway and plunged into the Marsyangdi river.
