Harmony in Diversity: PM Modi's 'Chadar' at Ajmer Dargah

On Saturday, Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju presented a ceremonial 'chadar', sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the Ajmer Dargah during the Urs of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

Rijiju read out the Prime Minister's message, which urged people of all faiths to work together harmoniously. He also launched a web portal and a mobile app for pilgrims, as well as an operations manual for the Urs's conduct.

Security was tight for Rijiju's visit, amidst ongoing court cases about the dargah's location, which some claim occupies a former Shiva temple. Rijiju sidestepped these issues, focusing instead on advocating for peace and unity among religions.
