In a vibrant display of cultural enthusiasm, the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan began at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium, marking its return to the national capital after 71 years. Dressed in traditional attire, literature enthusiasts participated in a procession to celebrate Marathi literary heritage.

The literary festival, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has attracted over 3,000 writers and poets from Maharashtra, paying homage to the Marathi literature's historical and cultural significance. The event coincides with Marathi's recent recognition as a classical language by the central government.

Among the highlights are panel discussions, poetry readings, and book launches, alongside deliberations on language preservation and digitalization's influence on literature. Key figures such as Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and former Union minister Sharad Pawar are also in attendance.
