On her 67th birthday, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the refurbished Rashtrapati Niketan in Dehradun. The renowned Presidential Retreat has opened its doors to the public, promising an enriching blend of architecture, history, and landscape, spanning acres of lush greenery in the heart of the city.
During her three-day visit to Uttarakhand, President Murmu was deeply touched by a heartfelt performance by visually impaired children. She emphasized government efforts to empower individuals with disabilities and affirmed their contribution to nation-building through education and opportunity.
Rashtrapati Niketan, once known as Rashtrapati Ashiana, boasts a storied past dating back to 1838.
