The Art of Living Social Projects, led by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, hosted a cultural festival in Kolkata. The event showcased Buddhist youth from the Sino-border regions who participated in transformative programs. The initiative supports reaching more youth and reflects India's cultural integration efforts.
The Art of Living Social Projects, inspired by the global humanitarian and distinguished spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, recently hosted the North-East Buddhist Cultural Festival in Kolkata. The festival aimed to bridge India's cultural heart with its geographical peripheries, celebrating the vibrant culture of Buddhist youth from remote border regions.
Held at the Alka Jalan Foundation Campus, the event featured first-generation learners from the Sino-border areas of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and other North-Eastern states. Under the 'Har Ghar Agniveer' initiative, these participants have engaged in a two-year transformative journey combining yoga and classical Kathak dance.
The festival served as a platform for the youth to demonstrate their talents before an audience of Armed Forces representatives, international dignitaries, and civil society leaders. This cultural initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and 'Vibrant Border Villages' vision, with support from organizations like Anamika Kala Sangam, IHA Foundation, and Alka Jalan Foundation.
