Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced an increase in financial aid to Rs 10 lakh for families of wildlife attack victims. The decision was made during Wildlife Week's inauguration at Dehradun Zoo, increasing the current compensation of Rs 6 lakh.

Dhami highlighted a population surge in tigers, elephants, and snow leopards due to government efforts, which consequently heightened human-wildlife conflicts. To address these, the Forest Department will employ modern technology like drones and GPS systems for effective wildlife monitoring.

The 'CM Young Eco-Entrepreneur' initiative aims to create jobs for 100,000 youths in eco-tourism, wildlife photography, and drone piloting. Dhami urged the development of new tourist spots in a sustainable manner, balancing ecology, economy, and technology.
