Python Drama Unfolds at Delhi's Waste to Wonder Park

A 12-foot-long python was rescued from the Waste to Wonder Park, a famous tourist site in South Delhi. Officials received a report about the reptile from civic staff, leading to its capture and examination by the Forest Department. It is set to be released back into the wild.

A 12-foot-long python caused a stir at the Waste to Wonder Park in South Delhi when it was rescued on Wednesday. Officials from the South Forest Division said they received a call around 12.30 pm reporting the presence of the snake.

The reptile was first noticed by municipal staff, who notified the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. MCD officials successfully captured the snake before handing it over to the Forest Department for further examination. 'Our team is at the site, and the python has been brought to our treatment center for examination,' a forest official confirmed.

Located near the city's notable Children's Park, the Waste to Wonder Park, known for its replicas of world monuments made from scrap, remains a popular destination for tourists. The python is expected to be released back into the wild by Thursday morning, depending on its health condition.
