Senior BJP leader Uma Bharti urged on Wednesday for a robust campaign akin to the Ram Mandir movement, focusing on conserving the Ganga river and bolstering cow protection. She made these remarks at the 'Virat Gau Samvardhan Sankalp Sabha' during the Gopashtami festival.

Bharti emphasized the need for unwavering government and public involvement in ensuring the Ganga's purity and sustainability. The gathering, hosted by the Mata Beti Bai Social Welfare Foundation, witnessed significant turnout from farmers, social activists, and Madhya Pradesh public figures.

She launched a nationwide campaign aimed at encouraging cow-based agriculture, emphasizing training and awareness in every district. Additionally, Bharti proposed giving cows to beneficiaries of the Laadli Behana scheme to achieve economic empowerment. She also recalled her stand against liquor shops, advocating for public support in achieving prohibition.
