JAIPUR, India - At the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, hosted in Jaipur, cultural activist Sundeep Bhutoria called for a new Social Investment Policy aimed at Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs). Speaking alongside notable figures such as Deputy CM Diya Kumari, Bhutoria stressed the importance of recognizing NRRs' emotional ties to their heritage.
Bhutoria advocated for a framework that encourages contributions from NRRs to preserve cultural and heritage assets like ancestral havelis, schools, and hospitals. Emphasizing their role as cultural ambassadors, he proposed a Public Private Partnership model to enhance tourism infrastructure, including operationalizing tourism desks and information centers.
Highlighting Rajasthan's potential as a prime film destination, Bhutoria noted the absence of a dedicated film studio in the state. He expressed optimism that the newly unveiled Tourism Policy might address these unmet needs, underscoring Rajasthan's capability to host international film projects while keeping post-production in-state.
