Empowering Kids: Sesame Workshop and MetLife Foundation's Global Emotional Well-being Initiative

In a pioneering move towards enhancing children's mental health, Sesame Workshop is broadening its scope on emotional well-being resources thanks to funding from MetLife Foundation. Their newest initiative spans multiple countries including India, Mexico, Brazil, the Middle East, and the United States.

With friendly characters such as Elmo and Abby Cadabby leading the charge, these resources emphasize the importance of empathy, cooperation, and broader social connections. Currently airing in its 56th season on Netflix, Sesame Street is set to reach hundreds of thousands of children through a mix of digital media and grassroots efforts.

Specifically in India, the program aims at benefiting over 410,000 children by partnering with local educators and caregivers for both online and on-the-ground activities. "By working with MetLife Foundation, we're offering resourceful content that fosters emotional intelligence in young children," said Sonali Khan of Sesame Workshop.
