Jet Fuel and Commercial LPG Prices Hiked in August Revision
Jet fuel prices have been increased by 2% in the latest revision following international price trends, with rates rising by Rs 1,827.34 per kilolitre in the national capital. Commercial LPG prices were also raised by Rs 6.5 per 19-kg cylinder, reflecting a marginal increase after four consecutive months of reductions.
Jet fuel prices saw a hike of 2% on Thursday, aligning with the latest international oil price trends, state-owned fuel retailers reported. The cost per kilolitre in the national capital now stands at Rs 97,975.72, marking a Rs 1,827.34 increase.
This marks the second consecutive month of rising jet fuel rates, following a 1.2% hike on July 1 that came after a significant 6.5% drop on June 1. In Mumbai, ATF prices rose from Rs 89,908.31 to Rs 91,650.34 per kilolitre.
Additionally, the price for commercial LPG cylinders used by hotels and restaurants was increased by Rs 6.5, now costing Rs 1,652.50 per 19-kg cylinder. However, prices of cooking gas for domestic use and motor fuels like petrol and diesel remain unchanged.
